Using hypnosis & hypnotherapy to help with anxiety
We all get that 'anxiety' feeling now and again... anxiety can be caused by so many things, that it's highly likely that we'll all feel anxiety of one form or another almost every day.
But, if you find that you are suffering from more anxiety that you feel your surroundings should be causing you, then it's time to do something about it.
To use social phobia (the fear of being judged) as an example... it's perfectly normal to want people to like you, and so it's natural to worry about what people think of us sometimes.... but what about when you get so anxious about it, that it stops you doing things in life?
When that happens, it can have a big effect on your life, and that anxiety can prevent you from getting on with your life.

As well as social anxiety, the effects of all kinds of anxiety can have a really detremental effect on people's lives, and if anxiety starts to get in the way, then it's time to tackle that anxiety.
So how can we tackle anxiety?... well, hypnotherapy, or more specifically the form of hypnotherapy that we use, pure hypnoanalysis, can really help with all sorts of anxiety based problems.
Do I have an anxiety disorder?
Well, just because you feel that anxiety is having an effect on your life, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's an anxiety disorder.
Anxiety disorders are categories of anxiety that generally fall into one of five main categories...
- Panic Disorder
- OCD or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
- GAD or General Anxiety Disorder
- PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Phobias (including Social Anxiety, Social Phobia or Social Anxiety Disorder)
What is anxiety like?
What anxiety feels like from one person to the next, or even one situation to the next, can vary greatly.
Work can cause anxiety... friends can cause anxiety... family can cause anxiety... children can cause anxiety... burning the dinner can cause anxiety... almost anything can cause anxiety.
Although anxiety caused by situations like those, that kind of anxiety is usually well understood by the person, and usually only lasts while the situation causing the anxiety is still present... so if work is causing anxiety, that anxiety can go away to some extent when you go home.
But, when anxiety doesn't seem to be so easily 'explainable' (i.e. there doesn't seem to be anything around us that is causing the anxiety that we're feeling), or when it just seems to be around all the time, that it can have a big affect on us.
Anxiety can cause us to feel stressed, depressed, unable to sleep, uninterested in sex, avoiding social situations, panicky... the list goes on and on.
Anxiety can come and go, or it can seem to be there almost all of the time. Sometimes, anxiety can flare up into a full blown panic attack.

Remember, pure hypnoanalysis isn't about temporarily controlling the anxiety, it seeks to resolve the anxiety for good.
