Hypnotherapy for Stage Fright
Article by Paul and Denise Douglass
What is stage fright?
Stage fright is the name given to a problem which is often linked to social phobia, in which someone might experience a huge amount of anxiety, tension or nervousness before having to make a public appearance, such as on giving a presentation, a speech, or appearing on stage.
While stage fright is commonly thought of as affecting people such as actors, actresses and musicians, stage fright can just as easily affect anyone who has to give a 'performance' such as flight attendants, teachers, polititians, train drivers and pilots.
Of course, for an actor, actress, musician or pilot, they are in the sorts of jobs that means that they have to face their fear on a daily basis, and this can become quite stressful for the sufferer.
Using hypnotherapy to help with overcoming stage fright
Anyone suffering from either stage fright or performance anxiety will appreciate that the excessive level of fear and trepidation that they feel just before they need to 'perform' is caused by a high level of anxiety in that situation.
Because the two types of hypnotherapy used are very effective at relieving anxiety, we can greatly help those stage fright or nervousness caused by just such an anxiety, like the fear of failure, or the fear of being judged.
Knowing which type of hypnotherapy might be right for you is something that Paul or Denise can help you with if you come to meet with one of us.
